  1. It is unbelievable what is happening

  2. What a scary shitshow. I saw Musk waving that damn chainsaw on the news the other day, but couldn't bear to know why. I figured it was something lamebrained.

    1. People waving chainsaws when they are no where near a tree are to be avoided. Surely you have heard of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

  3. Two despots, holding hands, skipping down the street as everything blows up behind them.

    1. You paint a very vivid scene in a very few words.

  4. Ah, so that's the right way to run a country then. Amazing how so many have been doing it all wrong for so long.

  5. I sent my e-mails off today, as usual. Basically requesting these people do some town halls, because people want to talk. I also reminded them that Elon Musk was using outside servers, something that was repeatedly used against Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign. I reminded them that they knew that Musk was wrong.

I pointed out that they had witnessed the start of the Ukraine War right along with the rest of us, reminding them of how Russia had repeatedly vowed they were not going to attack. And then they did. They attacked with no other provocation than they wanted Ukrainian territory. They knew that trump's statements were not true even as he said them.

I suggested that maybe, just maybe, they could speak out against two indisputable facts. Start there.

I welcomed a response. Doubt that I will get one.

  6. You may be interested in this British podcast fact checking the claim that the Social Security Agencies database contains millions of people aged over 100. It is a great “yes but” answer. Hope this helps and remember there are many Brits horrified at the circumstances your country finds itself in.

  7. It is good to see some resistance. I hope it becomes effective. There was a Canadian post that I wanted to share, but today I only found a link behind a paywall. 😳

  8. "Musk is supposed to be working for you and me and every other American." I repeat a question I previously posed, well, two questions: Did I miss something? Was Elon Musk elected president?

    1. You are not wrong, Bob. Heck of a lot of folks with the same question.

  9. How easily this is happening in a democratic country. None of us is ever safe. Fancy taking notice of what Musk says on X. Government employees would do well to not read what he writes on X.

    1. It started as a tweet. He sent out a mass email from an outside server demanding a reply. No reply would be considered your resignation.

  10. I emailed OPM my list of five things I did last week. I can only do small acts of resistance. I drove Saturday to Minneapolis (3 hrs each way ) with a trans friend because they needed to go there, but was afraid to go alone. I would have gone anyway, just for companionship, but it's upsetting to know they are so afraid.

    1. That makes me sad, Celie. I am also sad for migrant children afraid to go to school.

  11. I think it's great that federal agencies (and even Kash Patel!) are defying Musk. This insanity has to stop. He has no legal authority. Where is the Supreme Court?

  12. The protest volume is escalating. We shall overcome.

  13. It is so frustrating. Did you see the townhall where a woman voicing her opinion was removed by a private security force hired by the representative while he made fun of her from the podium?
