One of my 'happies' is that every payday, I find the perfect Christmas gift for someone.
I found what I was looking for, and ordered it.
When it arrives, I will carefully wrap it, and label it and make a fancy bow.
Here is a collection of amazing memories: http://avagabonde.blogspot.com/2021/05/recollection-my-mother-during-ww2-part-1.html
Good idea.
ReplyDeleteI can never find the perfect gift!
ReplyDeleteI find that if I just pay close attention, the ideas come to me. It doesn't always work. I know that for my daughter and her husband, because they haven't settled down yet, their gifts need to be small and practical. I spent a lot of time looking. I came upon Calamityware, which I found hilarious, and they do love their tea. I thought it was the perfect gift, and I bought two mugs. They found them 'interesting'. LOL. I certainly don't hit the mark every time, but I do take a lot of pleasure in the hunt.
ReplyDeleteI like shopping when I know what to buy someone. I hate it when I don't know what to get them.
ReplyDeleteIf I see the right thing for the right person at any point during the year, I go ahead and get it. I just don't do my wrapping until sometime in the fall.
ReplyDeleteThat was great! I’m afraid we don’t really exchange surprise gifts anymore. We tend to just give monetary gifts to family with a few treats. I’m so glad you found a perfect gift for someone. I can just imagine how happy they will be in a few months.
ReplyDeleteI guess this is the secret to good Christmas shopping -- to always have it in the back of your mind, so when the right thing comes along you can grab it! Most of us don't think about it until about Dec. 15.
