Happy 4th of July! We will spend the afternoon celebrating a family wedding.
Kelly posted that there was a video about Carson, the little boy I told you about yesterday. I didn't know this, but have found it and posted it for you.
Happy 4th! Suspending it at home, in the gardens, maybe firepit this evening. Our closest town has a big shindig on the 4th, people love it. We are happy to be here, though. Poor Carson. Poor family. Prayers that his treatment works. I will send a postcard as soon as I can get one.
I hope all goes well for young Carson. In my working days I sometimes had to be with the young people I looked after while they were in the children's ward of the local hospital. There were always a few children there with leukemia, wheeling drip stands around with them while they played. One day one of these little boys came up to me and handed me a card he'd made. "It's for your friend. I hope he soon gets better". There aren't many things that bring a tear to my eye, but that came close.
I love that funny. Poor Carson, I hope the treatment does work for him. I could never work in peds oncology.
ReplyDeleteI hope my postcard makes its way safely across the pond.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a good 4th July celebration 🎉

Cards for Carson. What a great grandma, to think of that!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found the video. (I was busy being a grandma today)
ReplyDeleteThank you for alerting me to its existence! Happy 4th, grandma!
