Unconfirmed, but it's all over facebook that Michael Burham has been captured. I don't have any details, although the facebook posts do have photographs.
The news has just announced it as breaking news. about 20 minutes after facebook did. They are still saying it is unconfirmed. (Breaking news, my foot)
Still, I'm very glad that he's back in custody.
What a relief for everyone. Very good news!
ReplyDeleteThat is good news if it is true! You may be able to breathe easier now.
ReplyDeleteI think everybody will breath a sigh of relief.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope they don't lose him again:)
ReplyDeleteHe is not being sent back to our prison. I am glad of that.
DeletePhew. That's a relief for you. Life can return to normal now, and glad he's been sent to a different prison too.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that news! Let's hope that " lessons will be learned" re how easy it was to escape!
ReplyDeleteI presume the official news outlets have to wait for the police to confirm that they've made an arrest. Always best not to shout about the fish you've caught till it's safely landed!
ReplyDeleteI suppose you are right, although social media had footage of him in cuffs...
DeleteLet's hope they lock him up more securely this time.
ReplyDeleteHe's gone to the Erie County Prison.
DeleteAfter reading this last night, I posted to FB what you'd said, because I hadn't seen a single unconfirmed report by my FB gang. Then I checked CNN and there were photos and a news report. He's back in custody, and they said he still had on his prison trousers, turned inside out.
ReplyDeleteRelief!
ReplyDeleteI thought you broke your foot! Double good news: guy caught; no broken foot! :)
ReplyDeleteAck! Nope. No broken bones.
DeleteYes, I saw that on the news too and thought of you! WHEW!
ReplyDeleteI heard it last night on the news. I’m glad he is back in custody. I can’t imagine what your community has been going through.
ReplyDeleteYou really got a glimpse of human nature, that's for sure. There were people going for their 15 minutes of fame, and calling police with sightings from every corner of the county. Others were sure he was long gone from the county. (For my part, I did NOT think this because I was so sure he was gone the last time, yet he wasn't. He lived quietly in the woods behind an elderly couple's house and then kidnapped them and forced them to drive at gun point. The Ecklands found him camping at the back of their property. They recognized him. I find myself wondering if he wasn't trying to do the same thing he did the last time: Wait for things to quiet down, and then slip into their house and force them to drive him someplace.
DeleteIt was a lot of hysteria, really. I'm glad it is done.
Saw that yesterday!
