It was aired on CBS's Sunday morning show. I don't often watch it. For a stretch of years I watched it every Sunday morning when Charles Oswalt hosted it. I was generally at work and it was playing in the background. It was a gentle, likable show with sweet snippets.
Quite interestingly, Tim has announced his plan to go to the Smokey Mountains at the start of February. He wants to do more things besides work. I would like that as well.
That is a wonderful story and what kind humans those geese have to look after them.
ReplyDeleteI loved the picture of their first meeting. And it struck me that Blossom's person and Frank's people were cut from the same cloth!
DeleteI love this story! Geese need companionship, too. Lucky they have good and kind humans helping.
ReplyDeleteIt was a sweet reminder that there is no such thing as a small kindness, is there? They all effect a change.
DeleteWhat a wonderful story Debby.
ReplyDeleteI loved it.
DeleteBlossom using her reflection for company broke my heart.. what a dear and funny love story, thanks Debby. 🙂👍
ReplyDeleteUgh. That grabbed me as well. Poor thing.
DeleteI can't believe it, but CBS news had this story aired. What a wonderful love story!

DeleteI read an interesting article that said that all 12 days in the old carol refer to birds.
ReplyDelete!!!!!!!!!!! Really???? Off to Google.
DeleteFascinating. My pick for the drummers would be our ruffed grouse.
DeleteWell this puts to rest the notion that animals don't have feelings & emotions, good on the Goose parents for setting up that blind date!
ReplyDeleteWasn't that initial meeting joyous? They were glad to see each other.
DeleteOMG ... I love this love story! Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just the nicest story. Just such sweetness!
DeleteGotta love the Kyle & Jack story.
DeleteNice stories about a bird we know very little about.
ReplyDeleteDo you have Canadian geese in Australia? If not, count your blessings. Unlike Canadian people, they are loud and aggressive.
DeleteLovely stories, animals do have emotions and we should treat them with respect.
ReplyDeleteThelma! I have been concerned. I am glad you stopped in. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
