So...no results for Tim yet.
(I need patience...and quickly.)
Houdi went into hiding again for most of the afternoon. I was quite worried. He suddenly reappeared. He does not seem uncomfortable but he wants to be held. If I get up to do something, he follows, meowing quietly until he is being held again.
I enjoy cuddling a cat but this is not normal behavior for him. On the other hand, he does not act sick. Just slower than usual.
No news is good news, they say.
Have you taken Houdini to the vet, yet? He may be suffering from something that is easily treatable.
ReplyDeleteYes. At this point he does need to see a vet.
DeleteMaybe he is hurting some place and trying to tell you or ask for help. He knows you are his best friend.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't act like he is in pain at all. Just moving slowly and a quieter meow than I am used to. He's able to jump on the couch now. He does like to snuggle, but he's starting to ask to go out, and I won't let him. I think that's going to be a bit of a battle.
DeleteWaiting for results from hospitals can be a lengthy and trying time. Then they send you a load of figures which you can't understand and which often make you worry unnecessarily. Hope that Houdi brightens up soon.
ReplyDeleteHe seems quieter than usual, but unbothered.
DeleteIndeed no news is good news on the Houdi front.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the vet can find out what is wrong with Houdi and put it right.
ReplyDeleteMy hope.
DeleteIs Houdi drinking and weeing OK?
ReplyDeleteSeems to be!
DeleteSounds like somethings frightened Houdini.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a wild creature's nature to hide when they don't feel well.
DeleteDouble whammy of worry for you - lots of gentle hugs for all of you across the weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe will patiently wait. Gentle hugs to you as well. You have an awful lot on your plate as well.
DeleteIt feels like he has turned a corner. 🤞
ReplyDeleteIt kind of does...
DeleteOne of the first things I thought about this morning was to wonder how Houdini was doing.
ReplyDeleteAmazingly, he is quiet and sleeping next to me right now.
DeleteWould Houdi tolerate a halter or leash so you could go outside with him and not have him wander off?
ReplyDeleteI also suggest a visit to the Vet. I know they are expensive, but would be worth knowing what's going on with the cat.
It is not the expense. I cannot imagine that cat allowing himself to be walked.
DeleteWaiting is the hardest part. I sure hope you hear about Tim soon.
ReplyDeleteThat will be such a relief to know one way or the other.
DeleteI came here 1st this morning to find out how Houdini is doing. Somewhat encouraging news, perhaps a trip to the vet is warranted. I hope you get Tim's results soon and they are good.
ReplyDeleteHe will be seeing the vet. He still seems to be doing okay.
DeleteWell, it's good that he doesn't act sick or uncomfortable. Would it make sense to take him to a vet, or would that be traumatic for him?
ReplyDeleteIt will be traumatic. He is going to have to deal with it.
DeleteI cannot understand deliberate cruelty to any animal but antifreeze FFS?
ReplyDeleteI hope Houdini recovers and Tim gets good results.
Just thinking ... could Houdini have been kicked by someone? My aunt had a cat that was kicked and was obviously very tender for a while.
I honestly cannot imagine Houdi getting close enough to anyone to be kicked. He is a very wary cat. It took forever for me to make up to him.
DeleteI hope he continues to improve and the vet finds nothing badly wrong with him.
