I don't think it was nerves, although I'm wasn't there. He worries about things, but I've never seen him work himself up to this point. I think he actually may be sick.
I hope he settles in well Debby. Once he finds a pal and once he realises it is a bit more grown up he will hopefully settle in Love and understanding is what he needs now and I am sure he is getting that
Poor William. I hope he is doing better today with school. We are in week 3 of Kyle going to junior high and it is going OK. I think I am taking it worse than Kyle.
Mexican food tends to hit more quickly, Steve. He had that at lunch on Sunday. This was Monday afternoon. Your 'legend' comment made me laugh Ed, because it is so true. (That's him, right there, the kid who barfed in the hall!!!!) William insisted he was ready for school today. He got off the bus and said today was "spectacular!" Mr. Shife? I hope you don't throw up! YP, you must have had a tough class!
Tell William that is not unusual, I worked middle school food service and it is very scarey to start a new school, change classes and everything new. I have seen some big football type guys get sick many times and the brave regular size guys just adjust like a pro. William will be one of the pros I think. Have a good year William.
Oh, Bless him... the Anxiety of starting a new School Year during normal times is stressful enough, during these turbulent times, moreso. My Grandchild has Social Anxiety but she had to do Summer School this year on account of the Pandemic Home Schooling not working out well for the Special Needs Students not receiving their Special Ed Resources during it... so she transitioned better having not been out of School very long before the new School Year began. I do Hope that William settles in nicely and has a great School Experience.
Oh no…. Poor guy!
ReplyDeleteNerves? Poor guy. Both my daughters were so anxious about having to change classes in junior high.

ReplyDeleteOh poor chap. Hope he is not ill and it is just nerves.
ReplyDeleteEducation can have that effect on people - even the teachers!
ReplyDeleteHope William feels better! It would be a shame for him to get sick now with school beginning. Good luck to him!
ReplyDeleteTalk about omens! At least it was during orientation and not when lots more kids were present. Those things tend to become legends.
ReplyDeleteOh no! What an introduction to school! Do you think he was nervous, or was he ill?
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing your previous post, I'm guessing nerves were the culprit. Or maybe tacos and jalapenos. :)
ReplyDeletePoor fella. Whether nerves or a stomach bug, I hope it's under control soon.
