One degree out this morning (-17 for you celcius people). Cold enough for me,
My sister and her husband own across the road from our retirement property. She posted a photo of her thermometer on facebook. -16 there (-26C). She asked, "Do we have to go outside?"
I took a long sip of my morning coffee and typed back carefully, "I don't."
Gads, but retirement is great.
I think mid winter on a cold and frosty night, early in the morning an outer suburb dropped below 0 C. - 17C is hard to imagine. Nice and cosy inside your home?
ReplyDeleteI'm in my warm flannel night gown, sipping a hot cup of coffee, in front of a roaring fire watching the sun come up. I'm quite toasty!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I love it! "I don't."
ReplyDeleteWe are 8⁰C at the moment but feels 4 degrees lower because of the wind.
ReplyDeleteWe need a stretch of freezing weather... Climate changing, we haven't had proper winter, just a couple of short blasts..,so far...
Great not to have to go out!!
Yikes. I shiver when our temperature drops to 0C. How luxurious to know you no longer have to go out there.
ReplyDeleteWell played my friend.
ReplyDeleteWe're warmer here, -7C, which is comfortable.
Retirement does sound fabulous:)
Yeah, you can spend hours doing what you want in the morning.
ReplyDeletei probably still prefer Fahrenheit to Celsius even though I have now spent more years in a metric situation. My daughter still sets her thermostats to F, even though she was still youngish when we officially converted. When I say ‘prefer’ I mean I am still comfortable in F and maybe a bit more so. That doesn’t really mean I prefer it. Having 0 as the freezing point is much more sensible that 32. But I am rambling and almost incoherently at this point. 🤪
That's lovely to be able to stay in! Put some raspberry schnapps in your hot chocolate. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteRetirement is great for that reason among others. I love hearing the rain pound down during the night, especially since I don't need to go out into it for work. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you took to retirement very well. Enjoy being able to do what you want when you want. My cleaning and laundry schedule went out the window when I retired.
ReplyDeleteStay warm, Debby!
ReplyDeleteI walk five mornings a week on our property and I have to force myself out the door if it's below freezing (it was 25 this morning). By the time I get going, though, I don't really notice it much. I'm more concerned with not tripping and falling face first into cow poo.
ReplyDeleteWhen it gets that cold, I worry about my face freezing and falling off.
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes! That is super COLD! The wind chill must be horrendous.
