Short One

The protest was well attended despite the  cold.
My sign said 'when our government starts quoting Nazis, we all need to speak up.' Tim's said, 'Christian Nationalism is not Christianity. Jesus wept"

It feels good to be with like minds. We got quite a bit of support from the cars passing by.

We also got the expected blowback. But this time, it seemed angrier. A woman approached us on foot screaming. "I am sorry you hate America." Drivers shouted obscenities. We waved cheerfully. We will be there next week.

Another gold medal:

  1. Thank you for showing up and speaking up.

  2. You and Tim had good signs. Touching words from Karl Stojka, Auschwitz survivor. Nazis wouldn’t have any power unless ordinary people embrace their hateful philosophy. For these shameless haters to call themselves Christians is so very wrong and reprehensible. Cali

  3. Thank you for doing what I wish I could do! Hard to have any pride in being an American right now!

  4. You are an inspiration! Ours wasn't really planned until Monday and we were hoping for 20 and would have been happy with 10 with the bitter cold temperatures. We had FIFTY people show up with signs and even an inflatable frog costume! We did do better, many people honked and waved and gave us a thumbs up. We had the random country boy "rolling coal" from his truck where he blows black smoke on you. They are so cool. As we were chanting Love, Not Hate, makes our country great, several people drove by giving us the finger which I guess means they are on the side of hate. I did get my picture as the abominable snowman in the paper - I will share on my next post.
