Houdi.
As far as bringing snow in for them, gz, not necessary. They go to the door stick their noses out, and then back away from the door. They have got snow figured out. They have figured out that they don't like it.
I woke up last night and the sky looked like something out of Stranger Things.
We have 16 inches of snow on the ground but not for long. Temps are supposed to get up to the low 50s this week. This is just the craziest winter.
The tree comes down tomorrow.

Those two look so sweet. We have cold and warm weather too, just enough to melt some snow and turn everything into a skating rink and then cover it all up again with more snow. Mother Nature is laughing at us, she is amused.
ReplyDeleteLooks can be deceiving! You know who is not amused at mother nature? Me! That's who.
DeleteHow are the barn cats doing?
ReplyDeleteWe are down to four in the garage, one first generation and three second generation. Just last week I saw a cat I did not recognize right away. I am convinced it was Min, one of the original four. It gave me great hope that Sigh and Tiger Cat (who is different from Tiger Kitty) have taken up residence in the old house. The hunting would be fine there. This spring, I will do a good look. I don't want to frighten them away in the winter.
DeleteThey are both lovely looking cats. You did so well with them.
ReplyDeleteWilliam tamed Houdi, to be honest. He is her 'person'. Freddie...let us say that we are still working on Fred.
DeleteBrrr - 16"!!!! Glad to hear it is melting soon.
ReplyDeleteWe got an inch overnight. This should e the last of it.
DeleteI was wondering if you'd been found by any more cats! They look a grand pair now
ReplyDeleteOh please God! No more cats! Freddie is a very traumatized cat. I feel sorry for him because I know it is not his fault. I keep a blanket on the couch because when he cozies up, he suckles. If there is a fold on my shirt, he will begin sucking on it and kneading with sharp little claws. I hate it. Becoming angry with him only makes him more anxious. So I try to substitute a corner of the blanket for him. I have never had a neurotic cat before.
DeleteIt makes you wonder what he has been through
DeleteWhat beautiful boys they are. - 16 sounds very unpleasant. Just - 2 here overnight but I've just had a snow warning come up on the bottom bar of my computer. More widespread snow next week apparently, so will nip out to do food shopping tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThere is something very comforting to me about simply being prepared. Which sounds foolish. But I like the idea that come what may, I have plenty on hand.
DeleteThe cats are doing well, clearly know what's what about snow.
ReplyDeleteIt is funny because the ferals leap and roll in it. Doesn't seem to bother them at all.
DeleteI have had my fill of snow already this year and winter is just starting. I don’t think it’s going to warm up here next week but maybe I am wrong. Those cats look very contented. They are lucky cats to have found you, Debby, Gigi
ReplyDeleteWell, hopefully that warmth coming here will make it up there. Gigi. Winter came early. Perhaps it will leave early too.
DeleteThere is just something so infinitely comforting to me about the sight of a cat or even better, two cats, curled up and sleeping contentedly in a home. Somehow just knowing you can reach out and touch that warm softness is a sort of magic.
ReplyDeleteI just like that if I am reading, they both want to curl up next to me.vi suppose turning it around, they would tell you there is something very comforting about a woman on a couch.
DeleteThose are 2 beautiful boys ... I love the smokey gray! Thanks for the pics!
ReplyDeleteIt is 50° at 8:30 a.m., warming up to 66° ... this is S. Colorado so it is crazy! Our warnings are for wildfires, not snow and freezing temps!
That wildfire stuff would scare the mess out of me. I would much rather deal with cold and snow.
DeleteNice to see some cat pics! I'd much rather think of warm fuzzy critters than international politics. 🙄
ReplyDeleteYeah right there with you on that one.
DeleteI have yet to meet a cat that liked snow, especially 16" of it.
ReplyDeleteI may be a cat!
DeleteDoubt this post was for me. For Marcia LaRue above? Cute kitties.
ReplyDeleteAw, you can have it too!:
