$335,000 raised so far.
The right calls out his uncivil behavior while defending an administration with a longstanding history of uncivil behavior.
Just a thing i noticed.
Security breech leaks names, addresses, emails, background info on 4500 ICE agents. Big uproar.
Of course, when there was not nearly the outrage over right-wing patriots as they 'swatted' democrats, leaking their information, protesting in front of their homes.
Just a thing I noticed.
Kids are outing their ICE daddies on Tik-Tok. That gives me hope for the future.
The US Department of Labor debuted a new slogan. One nation. One people. One heritage. It has sparked some backlash.

That is a threat. We are meant to be afraid.
Don't be.

They are exposing their hate to the whole world. How can anyone stand with them anymore?
ReplyDeleteI am convinced that most of the rabid MAGA comments you see are paid 'trolls'. Kristi Noem has an $8M budget specifically for social media "influencers". The resistance is not so great as it seems. It is just another lie. I hope you are feeling better.
DeleteWhat a great post, Debby. So heartening. It's a matter of time and from up here I applaud you decent Americans and know there are many many many. There are idiot trolls here too, venomous little creatures with the mentality of chained-up dogs that only know how to snarl and bite. -Kate
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kate. I am finding a lot of good people. I am grateful for them.
DeleteVery good post. Sometimes it seems hopeless. This reminds me that there are a lot of decent, good people opposing Trump and his goons. We need to stay United, be Strong and not allow fear to control us. Cali
ReplyDeleteI believe that there are things that matter more than me. This is one of them.
DeleteIs the tide turning or is it getting worse? I can't tell. Maybe both things are happening.
ReplyDeleteI think it is getting worse, AC. People are seeing it though.
DeleteThat Department of Labor slogan has a definite Hitler-ish feel to it. These people are just pond scum. I love the outing of ICE dads on Tik-tok. That is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhen the government begins speaking fluent Nazi, we all need to speak up. This country has NEVER been one heritage.
DeleteI am watching the streets of Minneapolis tonight and it is like a war torn country with armed members of the government with 47 days training shooting at people, throwing grenades of some kind and terrorizing neighborhoods with government issued firearms. In the past the United States of America would have gone to this country to offer humanitarian aid. It is sickening. Sickening.
ReplyDeleteYou have been a good role model to me , Merry. May I be lokewise.
DeleteI am afraid and I wish I weren't. I think the evildoers have a lot still up their sleeves. They've been planning for this for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteThat guy said what a lot of people are thinking. It reminds me of the Hans Christian Anderson story 'The Emperor's New Clothes'.
ReplyDeleteLot of unclothed egomaniacs running around, and they are totally unashamed.
DeleteWatching from afar it seems that it is only just gathering speed.
ReplyDeleteI really hope that I am wrong.
I think that you are right. It is. More and more people are getting involved. It will not be turned around by the people who believe that this too will pass.
DeleteThe odd thing to me is that whenever I feel as if surely, even the most MAGA of MAGA's will realize the hate speech and horrible actions of this regime is way over the top and evil, too, I then think that no, this is indeed what they voted for. Get rid of everyone who does not look or sound like them. Hurray for evil! Hurray for hate!
ReplyDeleteWhat we really have to keep in mind here is that on social media, a lot of the shockingly awful comments are from bots or hacked accounts. We can rule most of that noise out. It may see like they are the majority, but they just aren't. We need to push back as much as we can.
DeleteAs much as I hate to say this I have been convinced for a while now that trump's ultimate goal here is to send these goons into cities, provoke the citizens, create situations such as the murder of Ms Good and the shooting of the man in Minneapolis last night and then institute the Insurrection Act and deploy soldiers. We're long past the time to sit around and say" it can't happen here." It is happening and will continue to happen.

DeleteI hadn't seen the thing about Kristi Noem's podium. We know Trump's administration, and even his inner circle, contains white supremacists -- there's no possible reason such inflammatory language is being used by accident.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I do not believe this is accidental. Interestinglyly, given his cloying cozy relationship with Netanyahu, the administration has requested a list of all Jewish enrollees at the University of Pennsylvania.

ReplyDeleteThis post is such a sharp snapshot of the moment we’re living in. The “just a thing I noticed” refrain lands really hard especially against the backdrop of outright threats like “One Homeland. One People. One Heritage” and “One of ours. All of yours.”
ReplyDelete“Don’t be” is exactly the gut-check people need; it turns all that justified fear and anger into a call to stay awake, stay loud, and keep pushing back. Thanks, Debby.
