Rain day

It is raining today, so we cannot work on the siding. We are about 1/3 of the way done with the third side. Tim had some errands to do. I have tomatoes and beans to do before I head out tomorrow morning.

It is nice to have a rain day. We needed it. Five newly transplanted trees will enjoy the soaking.

I had a leisurely cup of coffee and watched turkeys wandering through the yard.

I need to make sauce. I need to pack. Found this a Goodwill, still with the store tags, for $4. The youngest has headed off to preschool and this will be so sweet when the weather turns cool. I think it is so cute.

Not so cute:

  1. Sweet outfit!
I'm glad the rain is watering in your new trees. Nothing (good) to say about the OO (Orange One)

  3. That outfit is sweet! Great deal there.
I'm waiting on Larry to finish putting a table together in the kitchen, so I can't get started on what I need to do either. But at least I can catch up on blogs!

  4. Just read that national guard (?) has been put in a large number of red states to back up ice.....also that in the northwest ice apprehended twenty indigenous active firefighters while they were out firefighting...and held on to two of them... It beggars belief

Wild turkey for dinner? Or will you have to put it in a pot with a stone and boil it until the stone is soft???

  9. What a lovely outfit that is. As for Trumpington, what a shame that news of his death wasn't greatly exaggerated . . .

  14. Cute outfit. It rained 🌧 quite a bit here in Montreal as well, we really needed it. Such a relief.

  15. I am so glad that the weather is not doing anything more than delaying the siding install and doesn't cause weatherproof stresses (apparently?) Enjoy the grand babies

  16. Love the little outfit! It's cooler here in Illinois and I weep with gratitude every time I go outside. We have wild turkeys here, too, and I always stop to watch them if I am lucky enough to see them out. I cling to the thoughts that the entire world knows the orange oaf is an idiot monster, and his day is coming - how the "mighty" will fall. In the meantime, we can use our energies to do what good we can to help our communities, and those we love. Enjoy your time with grandkids.

  17. We are finally supposed to get some cooler and wet weather next week, which is welcome because there are a lot of wildfires in the area and the air quality is getting real bad. Not ideal when both of the kids are doing outdoor sports. Great find with the outfit. I miss those days of finding cute stuff for Hayden. Enjoy your weekend and hope the weather cooperates so you get to that siding.
