I was shocked to see a post from a family member today. It basically stated that she always saw 47 as a great man. However now that she has watched him being attacked from all sides, she realizes that to have so many enemies fighting against him, he is undoubtedly the greatest president America has ever had.

I tried to find a video I saw. The guy was making the point that all cults die. He felt that there are 4 ways they end.
1) the death of the leader.
2) the people inside realize that the promises/prophecies the leader is trumpeting at them are not coming true.
3) divisions/infighting/power struggles within the cult. (The cult is broken from the inside.)
4) people leaving the cult, and speaking the truth about what is happening inside the cult to people outside the cult. (The cult is broken through outside means)
He stresses that this cult will end just as every cult before it has ended. I find this reassuring for no particular reason. I thought you might too.

ReplyDeleteLearned right after lunch that Noem and Lewandowski were given the boot! Sen. Markwayne Mullin is a wait-and-see situation! However, his reassignment leaves an open seat in Oklahoma that, hopefully, will be filled by a Democrat! I've already received a text asking for money!
I just had a look at some Noem memes, but the majority are still about her killing her dog.

The end of some cults is quite spectacular. I think this end will be rapid when it happens.

Markwayne is the idiot who tried to clear trump's record of impeachments. He is also the idiot who challenged the union president to a fist fight during a congressional hearing and Bernie had to step up and head him off. He is uneducated and a hot head so of course he was appointed to the position with the highest budget in the country.

Nah, Markwayne is just as bad, and possibly worse in that he doesn't seem to have a history of animal cruelty to trigger skepticism. Sad about your family member being on the wrong side of history. The long term project of undermining public education is a possible explanation?
