It started out as another very rainy morning. This after a very rainy night.
Protest started at 12 and I was dreading the thought of standing in the rain again. Miraculously, it cleared off before we got to the courthouse.
It was a small group but we have a great comaradry. And it is not just the protesters. The people driving by know we are going to be there. The tooting begins before we get situated.
Encouraging.
I carried this:
It is a flip off sign. The reverse side says: BLESS YOUR ❤️! When we get flipped off, I can "flip them off" right back with my sign.
It was a good day.

Thunder heavy rain and hail in some places last night here...more due after lunchtime..
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that the protests are going ok..pity that there are reasons for them
Keep on battling, Debby. Surely something has to give eventually.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. May there come a time when it will not be necessary.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for persisting. It's vital.
ReplyDeleteStanding in the rain is not fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the rain held off!
ReplyDeletePerhaps there was a supernatural component to the weather cooperating -- God wanted you there protesting! (No, I don't really believe that, but it's fun to ponder.)
ReplyDeleteThere is no supernatural component. I just believe if there were, there would be a lot more people getting struck by lightning.
DeleteThanks so much for getting out there! Happy Mother's Day, Debby!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your service! Love the sign.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day! 💐❤️
ReplyDelete"Hardy-har, har." Those are my pronouns too!
ReplyDeleteWe get a LOT of rain where we live (as in 2 metres a year, or close to 80 inches) and our saying is a bit more brutal: "another shitty day in paradise". It is beautiful, but boy the weather can be horrible!
ReplyDeleteThank you for protesting. I also identify as sarcastic.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
We didn't have a protest here on our island. I'm waiting for the next one. My physical therapist's parents are also waiting for the next one with all our signs. Good for you all going out there and taking a stand. We can't just sit here and do nothing.
