We loaded up the television equipment and brought it back to the house. We used Tim's phone as a hotspot, and used the ROKU to order Paramount+, and just like that, we were watching television.
Just like that did not happen just like that, mind you, but it got sorted out.
Today's aggravation: I have a broom that has a dustpan that snaps on to the handle. When I got it, I thought, "I will never lose the dustpan" and for 6 months, that has been true.
Saturday, i could not find that dust pan. Three days later, I still can't find that dustpan to save my soul.

I lost the duct tape in the kitchen, while I was using it. Drove me crazy. Turns out it had rolled off the counter and gone under part of the counter, but I thought I was losing my mind:)
ReplyDeleteI also read your last post. I love that you gave the camera the finger. Katie likes to do that when I'm driving but her "bird" is in the shape of the letter "F" in ASL, which works too:)
I should be ashamed...but strangely, I was not.
DeleteDebby you do make me smile. Um, I watch Paramount Plus Mon-Fri from 9-11pm. You picked a good one.
ReplyDeleteSo much crap, though. Thanks for your tips at your blog.
DeleteAsk Tim! :D
ReplyDeleteFirst person I asked...
DeleteThe Mystery of the Missing Dustpan. Sounds like Miss Marple.
ReplyDeleteIt follows The Mystery of the extra T Shirt. Still haven't solved that one.
DeleteMaybe Tim borrowed it and it's in his truck. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts immediately went that way.
DeleteWhen I'm wrapping packages on the floor, I'm always losing the tape, the scissors or bows and I'm usually sitting on them. That wouldn't be the case with your dustpan though. :)
ReplyDeleteI have discovered that it is much better for me to wrap standing up. I use the bed as a table.
DeleteI unboxed a new printer in one room and brought it into the other. The rooms are adjacent. When I unboxed there was a little bag with a power cord. Do you think that I can find it in either room? Fortunately, I already had one from the old printer where the new printer was going. But really.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the song...'ah sweet mystery of life'. I find it very hopeful that the next line is "I have found thee.."
DeleteI can lend you my dustpan, but I want it back. I'll write my name on the underside to remind you.
ReplyDeleteProbably best to make me sign for it.
DeleteThings hide....
ReplyDelete^^^Truth^^^
DeleteThings hide but they always turn up eventually. I lost my little Tibetan bowl the other day, the wooden ringer was still on the mantlepiece, I panicked.. We all moved the heavy furniture but it had just dropped behind the settee cushion.
ReplyDeleteI expect so, but argh!
DeleteI have a bright neon green label on my shipping tape dispenser because I kept sitting it down in too many places. Same with the letter opener on my desk. Go buy a new dustpan; then the lost one will appear. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteTape is a problem anyway. I have 3 or 4 rolls of it in a basket with the ribbon and scissors and gift tags. Even still, it is a problem.
DeleteI seem to spend half my life looking for things that either myself or my husband can't find. There is a place for everything but everything is not necessarily in its place!
ReplyDeleteThat's the mysterious part. This is a very small house. Everything does have a place, for the most part, there really is not many places for it to hide. I keep turning a suspicious eye to Tim.
DeleteIt's so aggravating when things disappear. They usually reappear once they've been replaced.
ReplyDeleteI brought the dust pan from the basement just to trick the upstairs dustpan into thinking it had been replaced. It is a standoff.
DeleteThe simplest things are so aggravating. Even if it isn't attached to the handle, it should be right there! So where did it go? I attach human characteristics to inanimate objects and take it personally. Why is it hiding from me? Where did it walk to? No one needs two dust pans, I am NOT buying another dustpan. Do I have cardboard I can use until it shows itself? Ugh! Aggravating.
ReplyDeleteI actually have two dust pans. I grabbed the metal one from the basement, but it just aggravates me because I have hanger storage in the pantry for my broom, dust mops, etc. In this case, I left the broom by the door leaning against the wall. I am sure that dustpan was clipped to it like always.
DeleteYippee for getting your television- now you can watch Ken Burns The American Revolution!!! We have two episodes left - such a great documentary as are all of his works. Sorry about the dustpan :-(
ReplyDeleteI love Ken Burns. I am anxious to see this documentary.
DeleteI am constantly losing things these days while I'm using them. One minute it's in my hand, the next minute- disappeared into thin air.
ReplyDeleteI have one of those snap dustpans too but I still hand it on a nail.
So irksome!
Delete1. Ask Tim about the dustpan. 2. Check the garbage?
ReplyDeleteGlad you have a spare to use...
I shake the dustpan off the front porch. I had a look outside.
DeleteRandom items disappear off into the same secret place that socks in the dryer go. They may come back, they may not--LOL! One of life's mysteries. ;)
ReplyDeleteHa! Tell us if you find the dust pan! I'm intrigued by what has happened to it!
