I await...

I expect to hear loud cheers and enthusiastic applause.

*ahem*

After a mere one hour with an extremely tiny booklet (2 x 3.5 inches) and two you tube videos, I managed to set the day, date, and time (both digital and analog) on William's birthday watch! Furthermore, I set his alarm.

*takes bow*

    1. A Holter Monitor AND a watch, and all in one day too! You better get that watch to me quickly before the magic runs out!

  3. Congratulations (says the Jeanie who cannot get her laptop to sign in to comment yet IS signed in to blog) (not that she has of late)

  4. I won't laugh. It gets harder and harder for me to do those sorts of things anymore. My watch automatically sets it's own time but I have to adjust it twice a year for Daylight Savings Time and it requires a special sequences of pushing buttons that I can never seem to remember.

    1. The wonderful thing about this watch. I flicked a switch for daylight savings time, and it will take care of the time change all by its little lonesome. With a 10 year battery, by the time it needs anything done, William will be 22 and can do it himself!

  5. Well done! Bookmark those videos because you will forget and summertime is coming.

    1. I set it to adjust for DST with no imput from me. And a secret about the videos. I watched two of them. Both men had very thick accents and talked rapidly. I tried to make sense of them. In the end, I had to refer to the teeny tiny manual with the teeny tiny writing, and I was getting a teeny, tiny pessimistic about the whole thing.

  7. You earned that bow. Way to go, Debby. I never thought the day would come but technology is starting to get a little difficult for me. Thank the fat bassets I have a teenager at home to help me.

  8. Bravo. Everything is too tiny and I’m learning my fingertips can’t sense the watch stem, either.

    1. Ugh. A watch stem is technology I could manage. This marvel of technology has four buttons, two on each side. It is a stop watch. a timer, an alarm. a calendar, it has the time in both digital and analog. He can quickly check the time in London before he skypes his auntie and uncle. It does about everything but feed the cat!

  12. Hooray, hooray..and clapping ! Can you come twice a year and do the clock in my car please? Previous car used to be so easy.....just a couple of clicks and it was done.......(GMT or summertime)

    1. If you have the instruction manual, I can figure it out. We have 4 vehicles, and it is a pain in the butt, because they are all different. Every last one of them.

  14. . . . and I dare say, a magnifying glass to read said tiny booklet! Well done. I am not technically minded either, though I'd have a good try at knapping a flint . . .

    1. The videos were hard because both presenters whizzed right along, but I had big problems with their accents, I gave up and went to the teeny tiny manual, with the teeny tiny writing.
