Weaver

Pat, over at The Weaver of Grass , will turn 90 years old on Halloween. She can always be counted on for regular blog posts, so it's a bit concerning that she hasn't updated her blog for over a week now.

However, I'm going to hope that she's simply caught up in all the preparations...perhaps simply getting rested up for the big day. I do not know, but just know that I am wishing you a very happy birthday weekend.

  1. I, too, have been concerned. The last time she "went missing" she had fallen and had been hospitalized. I don't know if any of the other bloggers in the Yorkshire dales knows about her but I do wish someone could give us an update.

    1. It is concerning. Her blog is the first thing that I check each morning.

  2. I hope she's ok. That's the problem with blogging, isn't it? We never know what happens to people that we have a relationship with, albeit long distance.

    1. The worst thing is worrying about overstepping my bounds. She feels like a very good friend to so many...yet to her family, I imagine that I am a nosy nobod.

  3. Very worrying as I'm sure she would be writing and posting if she was able

    1. Usually at least a comment if she has no time to post, but I know her hands give her problems.

  4. I've had probably more than a handful of blogs stop for no reason whatsoever that cause me to suspect the worst. I hope this isn't the case.

    1. Pat has an awful lot going on right now. It is possible that perhaps she simply has a lot on her plate. She is a popular gal!

  6. Well I think we must hope for the best. She does have a son by the way and I am sure he will keep us informed. Her braveness in sitting at her desk and typing a blog out to keep us all happy is a very courageous thing to do. And I am sure we all wish her the best on her coming birthday. Wherever she is she will know that our thoughts are with her.

    1. I know. I think also, the connection to others makes her feel less isolated. I did message her son. I hope he does not think I am rude.

  8. I haven't followed Weaver but lost a lovely friend two years ago who had hip surgery that went wrong, then caught Covid. I don't know that she died but she stopped blogging and hasn't responded to any emails or comments. I think about her often. We do get connected through this blogging world. Hope she's OK.

  10. When I lost most of computer address and blogs, I could not find you but went to her blog and there I was able to get back to you. She is on Two men and a little farm so I went through them, found her and then you. I hope all is well with her.

    1. Pixie! What a genius you are. I sent her birthday card and letter out, and I dropped a note card in the mail to say how much she was missed. But she has such a problem with her hands. I told her early on that she should never feel compelled to reply, to simply enjoy. I don't get replies to the e-mail, and it never even occurred to me to send her one now. But it would get word to her quickly of our concern. I did just that.

    1. I've always like the sharing that we all do amongst ourselves. To me, Those friendships seem as real to me as the friends I can reach out and hug.

  14. It is worrisome when a blogger we've come to know suddenly goes silent. I hope she's OK.
