Condolences

My condolences to her subjects. I cannot claim to be an expert on foreign politics, but she seemed a grand lady.

  2. It's ironic, I know a few Brits (from my sci-fi message board days) and they were all very anti-Royal Family. I hope they've softened after today's sad news.

    1. I am not British. I am not sure that I would be a royalist or not. All I know is that the queen made a vow in her 20s and honored that vow during an awfully long span of years. That alone is worth respect.

  3. I find it sort of odd that there are still countries out there that submit to hereditary rule but I will be the first to admit, that if I had to submit to that sort of thing, being under Queen Elizabeth II would be at the top of my list. She was a classy lady!

  6. I'd seen the Paddington Bear part, but not the rest of the clip. Thanks for sharing it.

Not only was she a lady, she clearly had a good sense of humor.

  7. I agree with you 100% She's had a lot of challenges and met them to the best of her ability with grace and dignity.

  8. It’s Bob (Tennessee) commenting anonymously as I’m on my phone and don’t know how to do otherwise. Anyway I’m in Scotland and it’s truly remarkable to be here at this historic time. To say the people here loved her is the greatest of understatements.
