Since the holidays, suddenly things went very quiet at work. Not sure why, but we worked a lot of half days. I'm okay with that. Things began to pick up this week though.
Today was my last day.
I'm not sure that it has sunk in yet, but I can tell you that I'm ready for this. They announced a return to 10 hour days on Monday.
Not sorry to be done with it.
Yay! I'm so happy for you, Debby. Now you can just relaaaax.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Enjoy your retirement and do all those things you always wanted to do.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Debby and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteGreat timing! Sounds like they didn't beat you up with bizarre hours your last work days, but it also sounds like the company is returning to its old pattern. Congrats! Just rest for around 10 days, and do nothing. Then you can do all those things you've thought about! Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your retirement. You'll find that you are busy in retirement. You can pick and choose what you want to do. Try some things that are different. Between volunteering and part time jobs thee are some great possibilities .
ReplyDeleteWonderful. It must be such a relief and I am sure you won't regret it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your retirement! Have a lovely visit with your little granddaughter.

Congratulations on your retirement. Might take a while to realise you are not on holiday but it is so good being retired.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great feeling of release, I bet. That's how I felt anyway after my last day in a job that had begun to make me feel depressed.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your retirement Debby. I hope you enjoy doing what ever you like.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your retirement!
ReplyDeleteYay!
ReplyDeleteDoing a happy dance for you here!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You made it! Did they have a party for you or do anything to thank you for your service?
ReplyDeleteHope you will enjoy your retirement!
I'm doing the 'happy happy joy joy' dance for you. It'll take time to get used to not working. Took me almost a year to detach from 45 years of answering to someone else. Happy days, Debbie. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThat is great news, I am happy for you and congrats. I love retirement and you are young enough to enjoy it. Make the most of it and make some memories. Follow your plans and even more through. If my husband had not gotten sick we would still be traveling. I can close my eyes and just fill my mind with wonderful pictures, I want the same for you and Tim.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. You've earned it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your blog. It's always very interesting and enjoyable.
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteIt does take a while to get used to it, but as said before, I thoroughly recommend it. Obviously they have to go over to 10 hour days to compensate for all the work you did.
ReplyDeleteHooray! Relax and enjoy life!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a long, happy and healthy retirement. Now you can relax a bit. x
ReplyDeleteWell done...now you will be so busy you'll wonder how you had time to work!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Happy Dance time!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you!
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty obvious that you were not happy working there. I am glad you are retiring. Some things are just not worth it.
ReplyDeleteYou got out just in time!
