Weak

In local news, the anti masking parents have been protesting vigorously. Their gripe is that no doctor was willing to sign any paperwork that would allow their child(ren) to attend school unmasked.

The school board has made a decision that a doctor's input is not necessary. They helpfully provided the paperwork to print off. If your child does not want to wear a mask, sign the paper and send it to school.

What a horrible, weak thing to do. They've totally ignored the input of the whole medical community to make people happy.

  1. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if they were vaccinated, but anti-maskers are often anti-vaxers too.

  2. Yes they are, Tasker. Additionally, children younger than 12 cannot be vaccinated here. I honestly cannot believe that they would ignore the state mandate and the stance of the local medical community. It's stunning in its short sightedness. We have active covid in all of our schools right now.

  3. Oh my gosh! That's totally insane. If I were parents of the other children, I would be livid.

  4. That is so disappointing but given children will never mask up properly for much of the time, hey even adults won't, is it a battle worth fighting?

  5. I find that kids are not nearly as noncompliant as adults.

  6. Once they have outbreaks due to rolling over for the minority of anti-masker families they will have to toughen up, roll up the doormat and make it a club for the safety and sake of all their students and staff. Quit pandering to the Anti-Mask Anti-Vax Crowd I say, they only make up about 25% or less of the entire population. If they won't comply, let them suffer the appropriate consequences for making everything so unsafe and prolonging a Deadly Pandemic that is holding us all hostage.

  7. Freedom! Freedom I say! Freedom to infect other people. Freedom to keep spreading COVID! Freedom to be stupid! After all The Pilgrim Fathers did not wear masks did they?

  8. And of course it's the kids who will suffer!

  9. I’m embarrassed to report that in my state, the governor said local governments and school boards can make their own decisions re: masking. Oh, but parents may “opt out” if a school administration requires masking. In other words, local administrations, you really have no authority.

A Better Day

First of all, I want to thank every single person who recommended 'Puckoon'. Oh my gosh. It has been a long time since I laughed so...
