I Will Not Stress Eat

Remember how I told you that when life gets overwhelming, I disappear upstairs to carefully, mindfully, wrap Christmas presents? Do the ribbons and bows and the fancy labels? Consider the delight of the recipient?

I'ma need more Christmas presents.

How are the rest of you doing?

  1. I've got a new pile of gifts to wrap and a huge big pile already wrapped. I just like to get it out of the way. Another thing I can check off my list, ya know? Happy Wrapping! ~Andrea xoxo

  2. I can't imagine why would need to withdraw today.
    Actually, I do.
    There is still hope.

  3. I know. I am still hopeful, but the anxiety is overwhelming. So I've got a recipe to try. I'm going to try one of Lady M's apple tatins.

  5. Biden is leading in Nevada, Wisconsin, and Michigan, but the race is extremely close. If he wins these three states, he will have the electoral votes needed to win the election. Pennsylvania has a law (I don't understand why) that election day votes must be counted before the mail-in and absentee ballots. We have the largest number of those ballots that we've ever had, a million of them. The state is only 64% counted at this time. I am hopeful that we will turn the state blue once these are counted. The majority of these votes were democratic. I'd like to see a definative win, but at this point I've given up. However, my apple tatin smells very nice, and I've got a pan of venison tenderloin simmering in a nice sauce. I'll peel potatoes here in a few minutes and we'll have a comfort meal tonight. I think we'll probably wind up watching an old movie tonight on TNT.

  6. I'm sitting here at work feeling utterly despondent. So to answer your question: not so good. Even if Biden manages to win I'm shocked at how close this election has been. It's so disappointing. And if Biden doesn't win I don't know how I'll get through another 4 years of this.

Your meal sounds so good. Comfort food always helps some!

  7. I'm doing fine and my candidate just broke 1% of the total popular vote nationwide. I'm guessing there officially isn't a chance in hell now. From where I sit, Biden has it won but it will take awhile and he doesn't need any help from you slow Pennsylvanians and silly counting rules! ;)

What amazes me more than anything is how well the Republican party did outside of Trump. Not only did they not lose ground in the House but they gained significant ground and will probably continue to hold the Senate. For me that is what counts because it means any legislation will have to have some bipartisan vote which means it will most likely appeal to me more than had it been unanimously voted on by one party or the other.

  8. It surprised me as well. I think Biden might have Georgia , Michigan and Pennsylvania. I this has been a nail biter.

  9. It’s looking like I got exactly what I wanted: Trump
gone and the GOP retains a Senate majority. Balance of power is a good thing.

  10. I really think that once tRUMP is gone, the behavior of his enablers will change as well. When this is all over, I'll join you in a happy dance, Bobert!
