Bound to Happen

Well, it was bound to happen. I have so thoroughly blanketed the county with my reading glasses that today, when I was out and about, I saw something glinting on the ground. Amazed, I picked up a pair of reading glasses that I'd previously lost.

This is so funny. I see so many cute reading glasses. I can see why you would want several pair. I wear progressive bifocals and I am so tired of these frames. I just wrote how I want to be content will all things and now I find myself wanting new glasses. Go figure.

I once left a pair of glasses dangling from the barb wire of a fence while I was out working with a dog I was training to track. Being me, I was so preoccupied with the dog that I completely forgot where I'd left them. Two weeks after we'd given up and ordered another pair the farmer we rented our house from showed up on our doorstep with them in her hand. She thought it was funny. Gary didn't.

I guess it's just mathmatics. Buy enough reading glasses and you're bound to always come across a pair sometime.

You are right, it was bound to happen. Wife has them in every nook and cranny of the house, in our cars, etc. But when we go out to eat, what does she say when she opens the menu? "I forgot my glasses." She refuses to wear them on a chain around her neck.

Now that was very funny! I'd loved to have seen the expression on your face when you picked them up and realized they were yours. Did you feel like you were in The Twilight Zone?
