Great Day

I tried to down load the videos. Someone will have to show me, because I'm apparently not the brightest crayon in the box. Anyways....
*************
This is John McCain's concession speech, and I've got to tell you, I was impressed by his dignity, and his quick response to the booing from the audience. He gave a speech that called us all to come together as Americans, and support our country.
**************
Likewise, Obama's acceptance speech called us to the same cause.
***************
E Pluribus Unum.
For the first time, I see it happening before my very eyes.

Where had that John McCain been?!?!? What a great concession speech. I liked him so much better than the snarky, angry, inconsistent John we've seen over the past few months.

Amen to that! I had admired John McCain until this campaign when he had to bow to the ultra-right. He's a class act and proved it last night. Pray for Obama, his leadership and his safety. Pray that our country can take a collective deep breath, calm down a bit and just let him do the job that he was elected to do.

A great day of hope for America, and so wonderful to see the rest of the world cheering your nation again!

Blogger can be confusing.

When creating a post in blogger there are two choices (tabs at the top-right of the screen): "Edit Html" and "Compose." If you want to embed videos or upload photos, always do it in the "Edit Html" mode. It doesn't work otherwise. (Well, the photos will show, but you will not be able to click on them and open them larger.) If you want to reposition something to a different part of the post, highlight and copy it, then paste it where you want it. In "Edit Html."

What I do is get all of the elements of the post in place (pictures, vids, text), and *then* go to "Compose" to format the text in the font I want and any italics or underlining. But! Don't drag pictures in the "Compose" mode or it will render them unclickable.

Took me a long time to figure that part out.

ha ha - yesterday I went through an online tutorial to install something on my blog and the narrator said (about WYSIWYG - that is what Compose is) "Fairies have been known to die here"!

I too thought McCain was very gracious in his defeat - as was Obama in his accolades to McCain in his.

Congratulations.

My verification is "sanding" - which would have made more sense if it were a renovation post - or is it?

Yeah, Jeanie, America's renovating. Thanks, Bobert. I will put this to the test as soon as I get a minute. It's nice to know I have another computer guru in the corner. Jeanie usually is the one I go screaming to, but she's 10 days away from the wedding of the century (her own) and I hate to ask her anything. Lavinia, Redlefty, and Anon - Yes it is exciting.
